A student of Marguerite Wildenhain at Pond Farm in the late 1940s, Anderston was known for his mid-20th century functional pottery designs. This lovely lidded bowl features a round, graceful shape and beautiful earth tone glazing. It is an incredible display piece that can still be put to work at the dinner table. There is one small spot on one side where the glazing on a tiny bump in the clay appears to have been disturbed and lightly chipped from rubbing. This minor imperfection is visible only upon close inspection and does not detract from the overall look of this piece. See last photo. less
