A sumptuous antique French white ironstone porcelain lidded soup tureen with pedestal base by the high quality maker La faïencerie de Gien.
This gorgeous soup tureen has a decorative acorn squash finial on the lid, lovely ornate scrolling handles, foliate motifs on the sides and top, and an opaque creamy white glaze that gleams.
It is stamped with the ""Porcelaine Opaque de GIEN"" Mark s', circa 1886.
