A dual-purpose sculptural object. By day it is a stone-look decorative vessel whose undulating form recalls the slow movement of water or cooling lava — organic, restless, deeply tactile. By night, with a candle inside, the wave comes alive, scattering a shifting play of light across its textured walls. EMBER Wave is the most expressive shape in the series: where the others stand vertical and totemic, this one moves.

Each piece is built by hand from recycled paper pulp combined with organic cement, mineral pigments, and binders. Once dried and finished, the composite behaves more like wood than stone — strong, slightly elastic, and resistant to splitting. The hollow centre is deliberate rather than incidental: it is shaped to gather and direct light, letting the flame bring the surface to life from the inside. What reads as volcanic rock in daylight turns into a living object after dark.

This design doesn't smooth away natural variation — it leans into it. Cracks, surface shifts, and unpredictable texture are exactly the point: imperfection as a way to create beauty.
