a large sculptural floor vase built from stacked, disc-like volumes with the dense presence of cast stone. Monolith i is among the most substantial pieces in the collection — at 66 cm tall and 9 kg, it has the physical authority to hold a corner, anchor a room, or stand as a primary design object in a curated interior. In black and dark grey composite, the surface turns almost geological: layered, heavy, ancient.

each vessel is constructed by hand in successive layers, and every layer behaves a little differently depending on pressure, drying conditions, and how the material chooses to settle. The balance of recycled paper pulp, organic cement, and mineral binder was arrived at through long experimentation — the aim being a surface that resists water and impact while still reading as living, geological stone. Because of this, no two pieces ever finish the same way.

natural variation isn't hidden here — it's the whole intention. Cracks, shifts in the surface, and unpredictable texture aren't faults; they're the point. Imperfection as a way to create beauty.
