Framed print of a vintage pencil sketch of ‘Laddie’ by Lucy Dawson (1875-1954, British). This is a reproduction of an original sketch she did in the 1930s. Measures approx 7” w x 5” h, framed. Natural maple contemporary frame. Perfect small art piece for a bulldog lover to hang or display. I’m a dog lover, and I had it on a gallery wall of whimsical dog art.
Lucy ‘Mac’ Dawson was known for her ability to capture the personalities of her subjects (animals) in her illustrations and sketches, particularly of dogs. Her work gained significant popularity in American and British magazines in the 1930s, leading to the publication of her book, "Dogs as I See Them".
