Barrie Robinson, British artist early 20th century, "A Sea Loch in Summer, Scotland", tranquil scene of the inviting blue water of the sea loch, sandy beach in the foreground, peaks in the background, majestic clouds in a blue sky, 10 7/8" x 13 7/8", signed J. Barrie Robinson in the lower left corner front. CA number 3974, CA purchased from central England auction house spring of 2025. This work probably dates from the late 1920's or 1930's.
The painting has been cleaned and reframed, matted with White Museum matboard, lined, Museum Glass and backing, 1" antiqued and distressed silver cove moulding.
Very little is known of Robinson except that he was British and painted in oil colors and watercolors during the early 20th century and was attracted to marine, harbor scenes and landscapes. See less
