Original finish on the frame has also achieved a captivating patina over the past century, accentuating the artistry of the embellishment. It is unusual for the crown and the base to have such prominent decoration, indicating this mirror was probably special ordered, or was an upper end item in the maker's catalogue. Even the frame on the sides exhibits a subtle embossed pattern, with a beaded molding trim immediately adjacent to the mirror glass. With such a keepsake, one can immediately create a focal point in the room as well as enhance ambient light!
