A beautifully detailed Meji period porcelain Kutani vase. Signed by the maker to the underside. Hand painted village and harbor scenes including architecture, figures, birds, trees, landscape, etc. Sea serpent and chain handles. The vase is 14.5" tall, and approximately 5" at its widest point. Unique and hard to find elongated form.
Very good antique condition with wear commensurate with age and use. We could not find and cracks or chips when examining the vase. Only minor loss to the hand painted decorations. Please examine photos closely as there are slight differences to the chain handles. Sits flat with a slight lean in one direction.
