After a sketch by Robert Seymour (1798-1836) that appeared in "Seymour's Humorous Sketches," a book first published in London in 1832. Drawing on paper laid at four corners to a mount with French mat style tool lines.
Seymour was a prolific satirical cartoonist who specialized in sporting subjects and themes. His work was featured in most of the newspapers, magazines and journals of the period.
While not by Seymour, this drawing is mid-19th century in origin, most likely copied directly from the publication.
