A striking and soulful piece of Americana, this vintage hand-carved wooden bust embodies the raw spirit of folk and outsider art. Likely crafted in the mid-20th century, the sculpture features a stylized human head carved from multiple joined sections of solid wood, with expressive facial features and deeply textured hair.

The piece appears to have been constructed using 3 vertical laminated wood sections, joined and then hand-carved — a technique used in folk workshops or craft school to create larger carving blanks from available materials.
