Just below, a double glass door features a butterfly-shaped veneer, adding a touch of symmetry and finesse. These doors are fitted with a functional authentic lock with fillets and keys.
The central section of the cabinet reveals a large compartment closed by a tilting door, magnificently decorated with a trompe-l'oeil depicting book covers, giving the piece a bibliophile charm. In the lower section, two doors, fitted with a Louis XVI-style lock adorned with a ribbon and key, open onto a storage space. These doors are enhanced by a butterfly-shaped rosewood veneer, while the interior offers a fixed shelf. The cabinet's canted uprights feature a vertical veneer of rosewood on a mahogany base and are adorned with a fluted bronze trim at the top. The legs, also canted, are enhanced with a bronze frame. Finally, the lower crosspiece is subtly decorated with a central bronze trim.
Thanks to its finesse, exceptional craftsmanship, and compact size, this display cabinet combines aesthetics and functionality, blending perfectly into a refined interior.
