Pesce (80x80x1cm)- Acrylic and Posca colors on canvas - 2013. No frame: the edges of the canvas are painted. Signature on the side of the canvas and on the back of the canvas. Born and raised on an island where the sea lives all around my city, I can only immerse myself in it to see another life, that same life that is changing and transforming before my eyes, where the fish become tropical, their colors become stronger and what they eat is increasingly industrial. from here the work "Fish" was born, and with it many other similar themes. Alessandro Filetti, born and raised in Catania in 1982, with a passion for drawing following an instinct that has led over time to a deepening and the choice of some techniques with which he still dedicates his pictorial research today. Loving acrylic colors from the start for their brilliance and watercolors for their spontaneity. Studying comics in Rome he used ecoline and computer graphics a lot, allowing him to appreciate even strong and intense colors. At the Academy of Fine Arts he followed the course in engraving graphics to continue the graphic style of comics. He worked for a videogame agency in Catania for a short period, also getting closer to digital painting, with which he now creates graphic illustrations. After creating his first canvases, he rarely exhibited his works to the public due to a lack of confidence in himself and painting, but thanks to the contact of some gallery owners (Art gallery of Salvo Torrisi, Spazio Vitale of Vitale and Gallerie Calcagno of Davide Calcagno) who with their objective point of view of the artistic panorama, he managed to find a path, the one he still studies today but with great passion and pride, because he has finally begun to express himself. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
