Carriage or hood chair, Louis XV style, washed wood, thread upholstery, 21st century – France
Exceptional carriage or hood chair. The origin of this elegant piece dates back to medieval England, although it was also widely used in France. As is characteristic, it has a concave structure in washed wood, a high, closed backrest, a vertical position, four legs, and armrests. Elegant and balanced contrast of the wood with the anthracite gray thread upholstery, fully padded. Delicate floral motifs carved into the skirt.
