Kovona furniture, produced in Czechoslovakia since the 1930s, is part of the Bauhaus movement with its functional, refined, and industrial aesthetic. The Kovona brand, based in Karviná, became famous for its chrome-plated metal tube frames, directly inspired by the creations of designers such as Marcel Breuer and Mies van der Rohe. The typical Kovona desk features a tubular base, often cantilevered, combined with a wooden or laminate top, combining visual lightness and robustness. Used in administrative offices, schools, and modernist interiors in Central Europe, this furniture perfectly embodies the principles of Bauhaus: rationality, modularity, and simplicity. Today, vintage Kovona pieces are sought after for their authenticity and rigorously geometric design, emblematic of the European interwar period. This piece has an attribution mark,
