Crafted from hand-painted Delftware vases by Royal Tichelaar Makkum — the Netherlands’ oldest ceramics manufacturer, founded in 1572 — the bases reflect the elegance of mid-century Chinoiserie. Swirling floral motifs in terracotta orange, deep cobalt, and moss green speak to both Eastern inspiration and Dutch decorative tradition.

The ceramic vases, each individually signed by master painters, date from the 1940s to 1960s. Their graphic symmetry and bold palette balance beautifully with custom-made velvet lampshades in a soft moss green, created in a contemporary atelier near Amsterdam.
