The vase depicts a human figure with vertical blue-and-white striped decoration, the head is carved with marked and visible facial features, the arms are bent and adhered to the sides, also serving as handles. The colors of the vase have muted but rich tones dominated by pink,blue,ochre and brown.
The ceramic manufacture “C.A.S.” (Ceramiche Artistiche Solimene) of Vietri Marina, located in the province of Salerno, was founded in 1937 by Vincenzo Solimene.
