This high quality studio ceramic art vase in sculptural design was created by the renown german ceramist siegfried gramann during the 1950s.
siegfried gramann became head of the pottery making at the ceramic studio of töpferhof römhild in 1958 in thuringia, east germany.
the manufactory is family-owned since 1720. In the gdr it was transformed into a nationally owned enterprise (veb) but was returned to the family in the 1990s. During gdr times the company became the biggest hand pottery in europe.
the company's ceramics studio was the heart from which new innovations in form and color constantly emerged. Artistic highlights were the international ceramics symposia initiated by siegfried gramann. This piece has an attribution mark,
