This high quality ceramic art vase was created by the ceramist Helma Klett (1908-1996) during the 1940s. It is glazed in impressive hues of green and blue. The vessel comes from a private art collection.
Helma Klett founded her artistic pottery workshop in Fredelsloh, Northern Germany in 1940. She was trained by the renown ceramist Siegfried Graham in Römhild during the 1930s.
Helma Klett followed the principles of the Bauhaus as well as traditional design in her work and this duality makes it very interesting. This piece has an attribution mark,
