Likely originating from Northern China in the late 19th to early 20th century, this elongated bench features a rectangular plank top with a deeply weathered surface that speaks to its age and authenticity. The shaped apron is embellished with traditional floral motifs and retains much of its original painted finish, now beautifully softened with age and wear.

The legs are joined with exposed mortise-and-tenon construction and supported by stretchers, giving the bench both strength and character. Its impressive length and low profile make it ideal as a statement entry bench, behind a sofa, or along a gallery wall.
