The … Read more The ICONIC BKF chair was designed in 1938 by three Argentine architects: Antonio Bonet, Juan Kurchan, and Jorge Ferrari-Hardoy. The name "BKF" is an acronym formed from the first letter of each of their last names. The design was inspired by the "Tripolina" chair, a 19th-century portable folding chair and was originally created for an apartment building they were designing in Buenos Aires. It later became known as the "Butterfly Chair" due to its shape. See less
