Shuptrine was a realist and naturalist painter from Chattanooga, Tennessee who focused on Southern traditions, including everyday scenes, landscapes, people, and interiors, often combining both representational realism and emotional depth.
This limited edition lithograph is titled "Patient Turn. It features an old man sitting on a cabin porch patiently turning, shucking, and shelling corn. It is hand signed and number 180 out of 229 made. Rustic wood frame and burlap matting adds to the primitive country style of the piece. ca 1970s.
