This beautiful porcelain boudoir table lamp was made in Japan for the Wales China Company in the 1950's.
It depicts a courting couple, their attire and demeanor reminiscent of the refined elegance of the 18th century.
The man, dressed in a tailored light pink jacket and white breeches, leans slightly, his arm extended toward a beautiful woman as they walk along a stone path.
She gracefully lifts her pastel pink gown, which cascades in soft folds, adorned with intricate lace and delicate floral pattern Her expression is serene, her posture poised, as though caught in the midst of a gentle conversation.
The base of the lamp, circular and tiered. Its creamy porcelain surface is accented with a band of gilded trim.
