Vico Magistretti's "Carimate" dining chairs, designed for Cassina, feature a natural wood frame and a straw seat. This set of six chairs, produced in Italy in the 1960s, is one of Magistretti's most iconic designs. This dining room was specifically chosen for the dining room chairs at the 'Carimate Golf Club' in Como, Italy. Over time, the chairs were manufactured by four different companies until Magistretti requested a patent for their construction in 1963. The "Carimate" chair draws inspiration from traditional countryside furniture, refining its simplicity—the blend of Italian craftsmanship and modern design results in a timeless piece.
