An incredible very rare Chinoiserie Blanc De Chine dragon tug or sailboat table lamps.
I believe that this lamp was custom made by someone because I've never seen anything like it in my entire life. I've seen the sailboat/dragon as just a decorative piece, however never as a real working lamp.
Anyhow, this is such a wonderful very unique piece which features a ceramic base with floral front. The whimsical sailboat features gold details with a fun dragon front and real working light on the back end of the boat.
The front of the boat has Chinese characters on the sail and the saying "Plain Sailing". The upper lamp holds 1 bulb. I topped the lamp off with a beautiful new pleated floral shade with scalloped edges. I also added a brass Chinese character finial to finish it off.
This lamp is very special and together the shade, finial and lamp make for a very unique one of a kind piece of art.
The lamp measures without the shade 13"wide 18.5" tall 5.5" deep.
