The color of the original finish is a neutral beige, and the finish is in very good condition, since the set was used in a sun room. While a buyer may choose to refinish in their own color choice, this exceptional set does not need refinishing. This is a tremendous savings for the buyer. The first time it was outdoors was to take the accompanying photos.

This set consists of seven pieces: six Calcutta chairs: two arm chairs, four side chairs, and a coordinating Brown Jordan 61” table. The table has a tempered glass top that lifts off for storage or shipping.

Calcutta was originally designed in 1967 by Hall Bradley. Inspired by the design themes of Chippendale furniture, Calcutta features cast bamboo patterns on the seat and back, while tapered legs and a lower x-stretcher continue the exotic bamboo pattern. Appropriate for indoor formal dining as well as outdoor use. Calcutta is in demand and is often featured by top designers like Mark Sikes, Miles Redd, and Bunny Williams. Last year's Kip’s Show House in Palm Beach featured a spectacular patio designed in Calcutta by Billy Ceglia. It's also featured on the cover of Summer 2022 Southern Living Magazine. Even the White House has the iconic Calcutta set, as recreated on the ABC TV show “Scandal”.
