Known for his minimalist sensibility and technical precision, Vizner created this piece as part of a series that emphasised form, clarity, and the intrinsic beauty of glass as a material.

This piece was produced at the innovative Skrdlovice Glassworks, which was famous for its experimental techniques and limited-production art glass. This vase reflects both Vizner’s personal design ethos and the broader Czech glass movement’s commitment to merging art and function and exemplifies the artist’s disciplined approach to form, proportion, and material clarity.

Blown from high-quality glass and subsequently ground and polished by hand, the vase features a refined subtly tapered form with an more organic structure on the bottom part that gave the piece its nickname “Pineapple”.
