He was born in Cassano delle Murge, in Puglia, but soon became a Milanese by adoption. Pepe opened his first studio in Piazza Leonardo da Vinci and had his first article in the Ambrosiano, signed by Carlo Carrà.
His works are found in museums and public collections in Holland, Belgium, Finland, Switzerland, Germany, France and America, in Italy he is present in the collections of the Museo ‘900 in Milan and the Galleria d’Arte Moderna Ricci Oddi in Piacenza.
