with the development of the “Rosenthal studio-line” brand, Philip Rosenthal brought about a turning point in product development in 1961. Long before design was in vogue, Rosenthal cooperated with contemporary artists, designers and architects, including great names such as Raymond Loewy, Walter Gropius, Tapio Wirkkala and Sebastian Herkner. To date, well over 150 artists have designed unique collections for Rosenthal, around 500 design awards and numerous references in internationally renowned museums bear witness to Rosenthal’s pioneering role in innovative product design.
