This is an absolutely gorgeous antique American Empire chest, most likely built between 1815 and 1840.
It is solid, sturdy, and spacious! It features four well-constructed dovetailed drawers with dovetailing consistent with the time period, cannonball feet, and plenty of surface space. The top drawer is positioned a little farther out from the other drawers in the classic American Empire style.
Great shape for its age, although it does have some cosmetic imperfections consistent with that age, as pictured.
