1950s and 1960s Armchair
Easy Chair
A design classic from the 1950s and 1960s
in an extremely elegant design
Light wood, probably beech
with loose cushions, firm, heavy spring core
Backrest with fine horizontal wooden struts - freely adjustable - an eye-catcher even from behind!
The wooden frame is in good condition, only the armrests show clear signs of wear - these would need to be sanded and repainted.
The pale pink iridescent covers are original and in good condition - since the cushions are removable, reupholstering in the color/pattern/material of your choice is relatively inexpensive.
The seat cushion is attached to the frame and can be unscrewed.
The cushions were cleaned by us with upholstery cleaner - all of our upholstered furniture is cleaned by us upon arrival and before departure.
Overall, a truly exquisite piece of furniture. We have two of these treasures (in varying conditions) and two matching two-seaters and a large round coffee table for sale!
