Fine, handmade ceramics from Apulia, Italy.
Originally used as a storage vessel, it also serves as a decorative vase. Its simple design and glaze have a slight color gradient.
Imperfections and signs of wear characterize the authenticity of this storage vessel.
These ivory vessels with monochrome ivory glazes were widely used, especially on cylindrical storage vessels used to preserve vegetables in oil and vinegar or fish in salt. This bright, cheerful ceramic, called "robba bianca," is the finest of the "ceramica rustica" and, with its tin-based glaze and double-fired finish, also the most expensive.
