This high-quality Art Nouveau jewelry or cigarette box was hand-crafted at the Erhard & Söhne manufactory in Germany during the 1920s. The luxury piece features a richly detailed relief decor with cherubs. The interior of the box is made from cedar wood. The underside is covered with the original black velvet cover.
The Erhard & Sons silver and metalware factory was founded by Carl Gottlieb Erhard in 1843 in Schwäbisch Gmünd, Germany and was specialized in manufacturing fine, mainly gold-plated and richly detailed fashionable accessories, which were exported worldwide. The company also manufactured sophisticated altar lamps, monstrances and chalices. This piece has an attribution mark,
