Unique Dutch design! This Congo chair is a classic design by Theo Ruth for Artifort. Period: 1950s. Beautiful in its simplicity. Theo Ruth was the pioneer of the design tradition of Artifort. He made special designs such as this Congo chair and the Penguin chair. For this design he was inspired by a chair from Africa and the chair owes its name to that. Still provided with the original purple fabric. The chair consists of a wooden frame with 2 separate parts that hook into each other and can both be disconnected again.
