Very special petite size 19th century French Louis XIII style sideboard/server or bookcase.
Fabulous details with a carved beveled edge top above the full length drawer in the frieze, featuring a large, carved mask drawer pull surrounded by carved floral and foliate.
Large carved blocks to either side of the drawer and also between the barley twists posts on both shelves.
Oversized barley twist posts on the front are complemented by matching barley twist post trim down the entirety of the back cabinet.
Shelves have carved front trim; lower carved large moulding and bun feet.
Quality throughout with dovetailed drawer.
Well built by craftsmen of the period.
