Direct from France, a highly carved antique French sofa table or writing desk, versatile for so many uses throughout your home, carved on all sides and also easily placed in the center of a room!

An elegant silhouette is created with double barley twist columns on each side as well as a full-length barley twist cross stretcher (always a sign of quality).

The opulent Renaissance carved apron features twin large, winged serpents on either side of a carved center medallion, with two drawers hidden behind the elaborate carvings on the front!

As mentioned, the back also features a dimensional carved frieze, with corners having 8 carved blocks and thick, drop finials; the table rests upon elongated carved and grooved scroll feet that provide stability and support. Well built by craftsmen of the period, c1890.

Measurements: Versatile size, 27.5” ht. x 41.5” x 26.5”.
Leg clearance below lower carved drawer edge, approx. 20.5”.
