This mid-century modern oval-shaped wall mirror is both sculptural and elegant, designed by Josef Frank.
, Austria/Sweden, circa 1950s, for Svenskt Tenn.
It is made of black-finished metal with a beautiful loop-wire decoration and a golden, shimmering brass detail. It is all original, as is the mirror.
Glass and wood on the reverse.
It also has the original golden string.
This is a rare find by this fantastic designer, coming in black. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
