Original pair of fully restored Regency Green leather, Victorian Mahogany framed Howard & Son’s Bridgewater model, Berners street armchairs, stamped with the serial numbers on the inside back left legs and with the original Copes castors. This is a rare pair of chairs, they are the most original examples you will ever see and in and most collectable model, the Bridgewater. The castors are stamped "Cope Collinson Patent Strong" they were the only company Howard trusted to make their castors, the inside left back legs are stamped with the serial numbers as well Howard & Son’s are simply put the finest chair makers in history, the late Queen even had one the largest private collections in the world. Condition wise , these have been fully restored by a Victorian trained upholsterer, he has stripped them back to the frame and rebuilt them from the ground up, I have some pictures on file of the work should the new owners wish to see the process. They have each been upholstered with fine Italian premium Russet leather hide, this hide is plain and untreated which is much more expensive than the pretreated stuff, the leather is then hand dyed six times, antiqued, sealed, waxed down and polished, this is the only pair of armchairs in the world restored to this condition, and with this exact colour finish They are sublimely comfortable, you just sink in to the chair and its like being hugged by a duvet Dimensions Height:- 76.5cm Width:- 73cm Depth: 88cm Seat height:- 44cm This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
