This vintage Turkish Kilim, measuring 5'11" by 10'3", is handwoven with wool on a wool foundation in the Oushak region of Turkey. Kilims and flatweaves are distinguished by their pile-less construction, created by tightly interlacing warp and weft threads to form a smooth, flat surface. Typically woven on horizontal looms, this method yields sharp geometric patterns.
