Vintage Bizen Ware Japanese Drip Glazed Stoneware Vessel. Green drip glaze with a blue hue outline over a traditional Biden ware sake/stoneware vessel.
Excellent vintage state, with no cracks or restoration
Surface wear consistent with age (minor kiln grit adherence, faint scuffs)
No chop mark (typical of utilitarian Bizen pieces or workshop productions)

Note: Bizen ware’s wood-ash glazes develop unpredictably in anagama kilns—this piece’s vivid drips may indicate a reduction-firing moment where minerals in the ash fluxed with traces of copper or cobalt in the clay. Further examination under UV light could clarify glaze materials.
