The 1st and only edition, hardcover art book is published by Edizioni La baraccia, printed in Italy in 1961 by " La Rotografica Romana " Di Adriano Roosi, in an unnumbered limited edition on the occasion of the exhibition at The Galleria Russo Roma of the artworks of Eliano Fantuzzi.

Eliano Fantuzzi ( 1909 - 1987 ) was born in Modena Italy, at the young age of 15 he attended the Verona School of the Arts. Working from his first studio in Montparnasse Paris he was introduced into the social circle of Picasso where he established relations with other great artists as well including Chagall, Matisse, and Braque, whose influences can be seen throughout his works. The Modernist style art works with a preference for nocturnal settings and a pictorial style influenced by the themes and chromatic choices of The Roman School with Venetian influences, were exhibited and award winning at The Venice Biennale and The Spoleto Festival.

The rare out of print hardcover exhibition art book measures 5 3/8" W X 7 3.4" H X 3/8" D, with 75 pages, featuring 65 illustrations several in full color an a center fold out. The english and Italian text includes an essay by the artist titled " Pictorial Language ".

It is in very good vintage condition consistent with age, use, and light signs of handling. There is some wear to the outer spine binding. Please see photos for condition reference. It is now being offered here for an excellent price. See less
