Finished with a … Read more A beautifully matched pair of Japanese porcelain candlesticks featuring delicate hand-painted wisteria vines and serene landscape scenes. Finished with a gold gilt rim and traditional crackle glaze. Signed on the base with a Japanese character mark “Kotobuki” - Longevity or Congratulations - Added over the maker mark of Koshida. These were often given as a wedding gift which explains the added marking. There is also a red squiggle mark that translates to “71” which would be the individual maker’s signature. These date from the Taisho period 1912-1926. See less
