large tulip vase in fine white porcelain, entirely hand-decorated with a beautiful floral motif under glaze, applied with a brush tip, combined with a light bas-relief decoration in porcelain biscuit, using a technique similar to pâte sur pâte, finished in pure gold, signed under the base with a crowned "f" and under the name of the manufacturer "fürstenberg" and the catalog number written in gold. Datable between 1900 and 1930. Made in full art nouveau style.

a quick search on the web shows that the most recent fürstenberg vases are offered for sale for a few dozen euros, while the older ones, from the second half of the 1800s and the first decades of the 1900s, such as ours, are offered for a minimum of 250-300 euros up to over 1,000 euros depending on their size and workmanship. The mark is different between the younger and older ones, and ours is undoubtedly the same as that of the older vases, as you can easily see for yourself on the web.

the fürstenberg porcelain manufactory is a german porcelain factory founded in 1747 in fürstenberg, lower saxony. In 1747, duke charles i of brunswick-wolfenbüttel asked johann georg von langen to start a porcelain factory in the medieval castle of fürstenberg. In 1756, a branch workshop was opened solely for polychrome painting, so that well-known painters could work for the factory.
