This Antique c. 1900 Biscuit Barrel Box Jar Victorian Cherub is perfect for the avid collector and would also make a lovely gift!
The biscuit barrel originated in England around 1860 and was used as an elegant way to serve cookies and other small desserts. It quickly became a popular piece for entertaining.
Details:
-Beautiful antique biscuit barrel with cut glass
-Circa 1900
-Oval bowl cut and etched with repeating 'X' and leaf bands, flanked by standing figures of cupid, raised on pierced beaded floral garland feet.
-Made of electroplate and cut glass
