A 1999 watercolor painting by the American artist William E. Ward (1921-1989). Titled "Calenda #6," this abstract work consists of a twirling mass of transparent layers of blue and burgundy against a white background. The piece is displayed in a black frame and white mat and is signed to the lower left.
William E. Ward was an American watercolorist who worked with the Cleveland Museum of Art for almost 50 years and taught watercolor and calligraphy classes at the Cleveland Institute of Art and his work is exhibited by the Cleveland Museum of Art, Cleveland Institute of Art, and The Akron Art Museum.
