The gorgeous surface is composed of numerous small, irregularly shaped pieces of abalone shell, attached to the body of the water pitcher. This particular decorative pitcher has a rare minimalist postmodern design and has an array of pearly whites, iridescent blues, greens, pinks, and purples, reflecting light in a captivating way. Signed on bottom: Made in Mexico, Alpaca.. This water pitcher is a prime example of vintage 1950s Mexican "silversmithing" at its best.

PLEASE NOTE: The lights from the photos are reflecting a lot of color and in actuality it is a bit more subdued.
