Designed by Giovanni Offredi, one of the most refined protagonists of Italian design in the second half of the twentieth century, this iconic chest of drawers was produced by Saporiti Italia in the 1970s within the famous Bauletto collection known for its essential shapes and luxurious finishes.
Characterized by a monolithic and rigorously geometric silhouette, the chest of drawers is made up of five large drawers arranged on two symmetrical columns.
The structure is entirely covered in an extraordinary red-dyed maple root with a glossy finish, which gives visual depth and iridescent vibrations to the surface, revealing an organic and irregular texture of great refinement, the drawers are also entirely covered with it, paying attention to even the smallest detail.
The black recessed handles, semi-circular in shape, emphasize the formal cleanliness of the volume and introduce a refined visual contrast.
The whole is a perfect balance between functionality and aesthetic research: every detail is designed to express sobriety, but also modern opulence.
The overall effect is that of a sculptural, dense and compact piece of furniture that fits perfectly into contemporary environments, as well as eclectic or minimalist interiors in search of an elegant and decisive focal point.
Offredi, known for his predilection for fine materials and rigorous compositions, achieves one of his most mature results in this chest of drawers: a piece that speaks the language of cultured, sophisticated, timeless design.
Excellent general conditions with tiny signs of aging and use that testify to its originality.
