This is a very fine example of Wrights' aesthetic of creating very pure and simple forms with mostly natural materials to realize his modernist visions. Manufactured of solid birch wood which frames a large dimensional Architectural Glass Block with amazing box shaped shade created with continuous reticulating vinyl cord material, all very well engineered and machined. This striking lamp is in exceptional condition, completely intact and fully functional. Just very light signs of wear/age and use to the base with no apparent damage or repair issues. The original reticulating vinyl cording wrapped shade is equally as clean with just a few very small spots here and there. The original push through socket has been inspected and appear to be clean, safe and fully functional while the power cord has recently been replaced with appliance grade insulating wiring
