This vintage Egyptian Kilim, measuring 6'6" x 9'7", is handwoven with wool on a cotton foundation in the Fustat region of the Nile Delta. Kilims and flat weaves are characterized by their pile-less construction, achieved by tightly interlacing warp and weft threads to create a smooth, flat surface.
