The shade creates an interesting effect that changes depending whether it is on or unlit. When unlit, the lamp shade appears with a gradient silver tint. When lit, the sculptural bulb under the shade becomes visible behind the now-clear shade.
The clear, funnel-shaped pedestal base attaches to an on-cord dimmer that allows the user to decide the brightness from 0 to 100%.
Originally released in 2003, Philippe Starck’s Miss K Table Lamp has become Flos' best-selling product.
Wired for use in the US and halogen 100W/120V/E26/T10 bulb is included.
Made in Italy by Flos. Also distributed in the US by Design Within Reach (DWR).
Note: I have another Miss K lamp for sale in my store. It was manufactured in a different year, so the dimmer appears different and the light is diffused a little differently between the two lamps. I had them displayed together, but when lit, the diffusion effect does make them appear slightly different. The dimmer for this lamp is clear.
