1963 jānis anmanis graduated j. Rozental’s school of art in riga.
1969 he graduated latvia art academy, industrial art department.
he takes part in exhibitions since 1965.
the most important exhibitions from approximately 400 (30 – 40 was self exhibitions) are:
1965 – in latvia art academy, together with v. Igo;
1972 – in museum of foreign art (this exhibition came to see approximately 36 000 visitors).
1972 – in sofia (bulgaria), exhibition “blacksmiths”, where he won a second price.
j. Anmanis exhibited his works in japan, usa, india, france, iceland, burma, england, germany, italy, finland, hungary, switzerland, belgium, russia, lithuania, estonia, etc.
artist took part in two of play stagings in theatre of daile, he also worked at television and film studio of riga. J. Anmanis organized latvia’s days of art. Since 1965 he works with children in academy of artistic fantasy and helps them to unleash their artistic abilities. He also worked as a curator of exhibitions at musical center “vernisāža”.
j. Anmanis is composer, poet, painter and artist of own life. He tries to found new philosophical nuances in own works. Most of all he paints with oil and watercolors. this piece has an attribution mark,
